The Vernon Toyota Indoor Sports Centre is Here!
At Vernon Toyota, we love being a part of the community
So when the city's indoor soccer pitch needed a sponsor, we were more than happy to step up.
Vernon Toyota is proud to be the official sponsor of the soccer facility, and has donated $15,000 towards local efforts to get the centre up and running, so that local players from North Okanagan the chance to practice all year round in a dry environment, while gearing up for local championships.
A commitment to the community
The full sponsorship that Vernon Toyota has pledged will run for six years, which means that in total, Vernon Toyota will donate $90,000 to the facility.
“We're really excited about it, because we like to do a lot of things to promote active lifestyles,” said Oliver Orlie, our Sales Manager here at Vernon Toyota.
“Between this and the go-karting team it's a great year for sports-related partnerships. We really love soccer and skiing, we were thrilled to step up to the plate.”
Located in Okanagan Landing, next to Marshall Field, the soccer facility was opened in 2006 and already had a sponsor. According to Vernon’s Morning Star newspaper, 2,200 soccer players are registered with the North Okanagan Youth Soccer Association (NOYSA), and another 1,300 signed up for the Thompson Okanagan FC (TOFC), Whitecaps Academy, and other various adult leagues.
The pledge by Vernon Toyota is crucial to ensuring that our kids and youth have a safe, indoor space to continue playing soccer, whether it’s just for fun and to keep up with an active and healthy lifestyle, or to hone those skills for the big leagues.
